Hi,
I am preparing my exchange lab environment and stuck with some dhcp or DNS issues.
Here is the scenario might be someone can help me.
Host Machine Win 8.1
Hyper-V role installed.
Two guest machines Win 2012 R2.
- AD
- Exchange server
I create two virtual networks and both machines have two network cards. 1 is only for local communication between AD and exchange. That is working without any problem.
Second network card is attached with external network and getting IP from my home router.
Router dhcp role is enable and working well. Now when I check the external card status as show in the image.
If I tried to send email from owa. It stay in draft folder and don’t go forward.
But if I configure network card DNS manually like in the following figure.
If I send email internally within organization it work without problem. I can also receive emails from external organizations like Gmail or any other external email. But when I send the email to Gmail or other external email system, I can see the emails in my sent folder. But I don’t receive the email on external system.
Now if I removed the manual configuration from my network card and make it according to first figure, the email which I already send to external users and most probably was que in exchange server, it received outside of organization
But with this network configuration, my sending emails again go to owa draft folder and also can’t receive emails from external system.
I also add custom entries for DNS lookup in exchange but it don’t work.
One other thing that I am using jango relay because I don’t have dedicated IP for my virtual machines.
Only issue is Dhcp and DNS because of home router. But I don’t know how to resolve that. May be someone know the solution?
Thank you advance for your help.
